In our opinion The Shire is one of the best locations in Orlando, it has the peace and quiet of the executive gated community and is close to the Interstate 4, which enables easy navigation to all of Florida's fantastic attractions.

If you prefer to be a little more energetic there is a table tennis table and there are tennis and volley ball courts for your enjoyment.

The Shire is a gated community of select luxurious vacation homes all of which are spacious with executive-style floor plans. The community benefits from its very own clubhouse that is available FREE to our guests and includes a resort size pool and a fully equipped air conditioned gym. 

A visit to Sea World is a must and will be a sheer delight for all the family

For the shoppers the recently opened Posner Park (which also has an IMAX cinema) is only 5 minutes away. Orlando Premium Outlet Mall is only 20 minutes away and the Mall at Millenia and the Florida Mall are under 30 minutes away. When it comes to eating out many of the famous names like Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Chilis, Bahama Breeze, The Clay Oven, Applebee's  and the Orlando Ale House are all within easy reach. There is even a Chippy, a McDonalds and a Dunkin' Donuts only 5 minutes away at Champions Gate village. For all your groceries try Publix Supermarket which is also located at Champions Gate village.

On your approach to West Haven you will drive through Palm-tree lined avenues, you will know that you have arrived somewhere very special for your holiday in the sun in Florida.

The Shire provides the ideal base for exploring the Magical World of Disney being only a 15 minute drive away.

Sea World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Legoland are all within easy reach and waiting to give you days of full on pleasure, excitement and thrills. The Rip Ride Rocket, The Hulk and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter await. For the younger children Legoland is a must.

The Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus designed courses are at Reunion, Why not try the Highlands Reserve Golf Course which is only 10 minutes away it sits on top one of the highest areas of Florida and offers remarkable scenery.

Just over an hour West is the Gulf of Mexico. Here you will find the beautiful beaches of St Pete's or maybe go for a swim with the Dolphins in the beautiful blue sea at Clearwater. To the East are the famous beaches of Cocoa and Daytona. and visit

Kennedy Space Centre with the chance to see a live space launch. 

For the golfers the excellent Champions Gate golf courses are practically on the doorstep. The Greg Norman designed courses are a must play for any golfer. The David Leadbetter teaching academy and a floodlight driving range are also situated here. Other courses of note close by are Celebration, Mystic Dunes, Disney Courses, and Falcons Fire. This is a dream location for any Golfer, great courses, great weather, great 19th at all locations.
